When we reached the resort, there were only a old fellow swiping. Road to the resort was quite a mess, car managed it with some difficulties and there was also another resort on the way called Jungle Resort or something which wasn't a  attractive place at all for a couple like us.

First impression at the Terico Resort was almost the same. Not must of an activities or people around it. However, a young boy named Ishara came for our assistance in a short while. We wanted to check the rooms before check in, because I was not sure to stay or leave. Surprisingly, the room was extremely clean and specious. Washrooms were also clean and as they have mentioned in the inquiry hot water shower was working well. So we decided to give it a try. Belihuloya was strongly running by the side of the resort.

Sri Lankan and Chinese menus were available for lunch and we decided to go with Sri Lankan menu. Food were good and tasty. It has started to rain while we were having lunch and we decided to stay in the resort and explore it during the evening. When we had a chat with Ishara, he told us the Pahanthudawa Fall is not far from the resort. But the issue was that we have to cross the river to get there. Since it was raining they advice us to not to go there.

While exploring the site, we found out that they have their own hydro power generator, and water is also free of charge. They seems to be over 50% self-sustaining unit. They have employed people from the village giving them job opportunities as well.

verandah In the evening they offered us a tea with biscuits which felt like a home stay. Meanwhile, we got an opportunity to talk with the owners of the hotel. They told us the concept of the hotel was all from them self and everything in the place was created using stuff available in the site. The hotel was less than two years old when we were there.

Following day after breakfast, we went to see Bambarakanda Falls, which was not that far from Belihuloya and returned for the breakfast. As always it was a tasty breakfast, we left the place with thoughts of coming back.

Note: This resort is really good for someone to relax close to nature without any interruption. As per owners, they do not give the resort to two parties at a time to protect visitors privacy. Also they do not sell liquor.
